Adele's much-anticipated Las Vegas Strip residency was supposed to kick off on Jan 21. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen

COVID-19 killed another show.

Fans excited for Adele's groundbreaking Las Vegas residency received the bad news this week- the show will NOT go on.

"I'm so sorry but my show ain't ready," the global superstar explained in a teary-eyed Instagram video. "Half my crew, half my team is down with Covid. They still are, and it's been impossible to finish the show. And I can't give you what I have right now, and I'm gutted."

'Weekends with Adele' was set to kick off on Jan 21 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, with shows occurring nearly every weekend until April 16. Now, it's not clear what's going to happen.

"I'm sorry it's so last minute. We've been awake for over 30 hours now trying to figure it out, and we've run out of time," Adele said. "And I'm so upset, and I'm really embarrassed and I'm so sorry to everyone who traveled, again."

"Weekends with Adele" quickly hit record-breaking sales when tickets hit the market last December. Anyone who made travel plans to see the show will need to think of new things to do in Las Vegas.
