Was Kurt Busch’s NASCAR career coming to an end?
That was the question that many fans asked about the Las Vegas native heading into the 2021 season, and those sentiments only intensified when Chip Ganassi Racing announced they were selling their team to Trackhouse Racing. This led many to believe that Busch was finally going to hang up his helmet after a 20-year career, but the wily veteran teased that he still had big plans to announce later in the year.
Fortunately for Busch and his diehard fanbase, he eventually announced that he signed a two-year deal with 23XI Racing to drive their second car. This gives Busch a great chance to compete for a championship again in the twilight of his career while also helping move the relatively new racing team forward. Busch will also be a great mentor for teammate Bubba Wallace Jr, who could probably learn a lot from the former Cup Series Champion.
